One of the best Finger Lakes! It (along with Canadice Lake) is where the city of Rochester has been getting it's drinking water supply since 1876! There is a lovely little park on the north end of the lake and two boat launches along the west shore. Fishing is allowed from the shore lines or boats, but no swimming is permitted. Also, boats are restricted from the northern most end of the lake, so watch out for the buoys while you are out boating.
There are several bald eagles that roost nearby, so keep an eye out for them as you enjoy the trails, or are out on the water!

Nice embanked lake, you are not allowed to get into it but the views are very nice. A perfect place to hang out in the evening in the cool breeze. Has sheds and grills for small outings.

Nice walking paths, thoroughly enjoyable. Even in the winter this park gets fairly heavy traffic on the walking trails, so it's good to plan to scout around a bit if you don't want company. Also he aware that the forest is permitted for gun hunting waterfowl, so be aware of NYS hunting seasons.
