160 Feet Over the Cheakamus: Whistler’s Bridge Bungee That Keeps You Breathless
A one-hour, year-round bungee jump run by Whistler Bungee — this guide explains how to book, what happens at the bridge, and what to bring for a safe, scenic leap.
160 Feet Over the Cheakamus: Whistler’s Bridge Bungee That Keeps You Breathless.
Set above the glacial-fed Cheakamus River, Whistler Bungee’s 160-foot jump trades the town’s postcard panoramas for a pure, unfussy moment of free fall. Operating since 2002 with a perfect safety record and open all year, the site sits just off the Sea to Sky corridor — easily reached from Whistler Village and an hour from West Vancouver — making it one of the world’s most accessible scenic bungee experiences.

What the day feels like
What the jump feels like
From the bridge you step into a concise, carefully managed sequence: arrival, gear and briefing, a counted countdown, the 160‑foot leap and a winch back up. The site’s river ravine frames the drop, delivering a tight, adrenaline-packed experience that is both scenic and procedural.

Frequently asked questions
Planning Your Outing
Can I bring spectators?
Yes. If you are driving to the bridge you are welcome to bring some spectators; there is a viewing area where they can watch. If they want to jump, they should sign up.
Can I bring a camera or record my jump?
You are welcome to bring cameras and take your own photos and video; small cameras may be taken during the jump at your own risk. The operator also photographs every jump, and photos are available for purchase and can be sent to phones via AirDrop or Nearby Share.
How do tandems work and is there a weight limit?
Tandem jumps are allowed; the combined weight of both jumpers must be below 300 lbs. Pricing is per person, and tandems are added at checkout like individual jumps.
Can I do a second jump when I’m already at the bridge?
If space is available on the day, a person can sign up for a second jump at the bridge; however, booking both jumps in advance is recommended.
Are photos available after my jump?
Yes. A photo slideshow of your jump is available to view at the hut, and photos can be purchased or transferred to your phone onsite.
Do I need to reserve a jump in advance?
Reservations are required and space is limited; the operator often sells out, so book your preferred time in advance.
