Frequently asked questions
Planning Your Outing
Do I need a visa for Fiji?
Not if you have a valid Australian passport.
Can I bring family or friends who don’t freedive, spear or surf?
Yes — the resort and surroundings have plenty to keep non‑divers comfortable; they will need to book separately (under‑18s do not need an additional booking if accompanied by a parent or guardian).
How are travel, accommodation and activities organised?
Once you’ve booked, the lead guide/instructor will contact you to discuss skills and help organise flights, accommodation and activities.
Can I use my bank card in Fiji?
Yes at most places except some transport; tell your bank you’re travelling. There is a Westpac ATM at Nadi Airport for initial cash and the resort accepts cards for accommodation, meals, bar tabs and equipment or boat hire.
Can I rent equipment?
Yes — the operator offers a one‑week rental package and recommends trying gear at home before travel.
Can I take spearguns, large fins and wetsuits on the plane?
Yes — pack spearguns and fins in a larger checked bag as oversized luggage; airlines also allow booking an extra checked bag if needed.
