Bentley Pontoon 115 HP — A 22' Rental Option off Anchor Bay in Eclectic, Alabama

At Anchor Bay Marina on Lake Martin near Eclectic, Alabama, the Bentley Pontoon 115 HP 22' turns a day on the water into an open-air living room. This 22-foot pontoon seats up to 15 people and is available for 1–7 day rentals; renters must be 21+ and possess a state‑approved vessel operator’s license. The boat is a practical choice for families and groups who want a stable platform for cruising coves, swimming from sandy ledges, and anchoring off quiet fingers of shoreline.

Lake Martin’s shoreline here alternates between long, bluffs of red clay and pockets of sand beneath stands of loblolly pine and mixed hardwoods. Expect shallow coves, clear backwaters in summer, and long views across the reservoir when the wind lays down. The marina’s rules—no smoking, no fishing, no beaching—help keep the water clear and the shorelines intact; a pet fee is charged for dogs allowed on board except on certain new models. Anchor Bay’s team will hand over the keys with a full tank and track your fuel use to simplify checkout.

What makes this rental stand out is the blend of convenience and social space: a high‑powered 115 HP engine for confident lake cruising, roomy deck space for lounging, and the ability to drop anchor in dozens of small coves that define Lake Martin. Because the marina services multi‑day rentals, it’s an easy base for island hopping, fishing from the pontoon, or stashing a cooler and heading out for sunrise on the water.

Practical notes: capacity is 15, pet policies apply, and the company enforces age and licensing requirements. The experience works equally well as a relaxed family outing—kids playing off the swim ladder—or a full‑day social cruise with shade, music, and picnic gear. Bring reef‑safe sunscreen, a Bimini hat for midday light, and a charged phone in a dry bag.

If you’re staying in nearby Eclectic or renting a cabin on Lake Martin, this pontoon lets you treat the lake like a neighborhood to explore. For first‑time renters, ask the marina staff for quick pointers on local hazards, fuel billing, and recommended anchorages. Anchor Bay Marina’s Bentley pontoon is an accessible way to sample Lake Martin’s long shorelines, sheltered coves, and warm Alabama sun—without needing a captain’s license or specialized gear.

Day trips from Eclectic often pair well with onshore options: bring a cooler and tie off at one of the public beaches for a picnic, or time your rental to visit the small marina restaurants that serve fried catfish and cold drinks. Safety-wise, brief your party on shallow shoals near the lake’s inlets, watch for submerged stumps, and always have life jackets for every passenger. Reserve early on holiday weekends to secure multi‑day slots. Enjoy.
