Alcohol is permitted for responsible passengers 21+ who are not operating the boat, but must be secured in coolers or plastic containers and stowed until you are a safe distance from public docks and beaches. North Carolina law prohibits alcohol at Farrington Point docks, parking lots, beaches, and designated day-use areas; Jordan Lake is patrolled and boat operators may be checked for intoxication.
