About a third of the way in there is a large meadow beside the weir in front of the Dietfurther Mühle suitable for a packed lunch break; nearer Sigmaringen the run culminates in the waterslide at Laiz and the left‑bank exit opposite the campsite, close to the suspension bridge and beach‑volleyball area.

Sunscreen and hat; footwear that can get wet and stays on the foot (old trainers or water shoes); quick‑dry clothing such as shorts and T‑shirts (or cycling clothing); fleece or rain jacket for cooler conditions; cycling or gloves to avoid blisters; a strap for glasses, towel, and non‑glass drinks/snacks; a small dry bag is provided per boat (35 l) but bring personal provisions as needed.

You can begin the route from 10:00 until no later than 11:30; boats must be returned by 16:00 at the Sigmaringen exit.
What happens if the river level is unsafe?
There is a navigation ban if the Beuron gauge is under 53 cm; tours are also cancelled if levels are too high (operator uses a threshold around 140 cm at Beuron, adjusted as needed). The operator will inform participants by e‑mail no later than 19:00 the evening before if the trip is cancelled.
What is included in the price?
Prices include the canoe (2‑, 3‑ or 4‑person options), life jackets, paddles, one 35 l dry bag per boat, instruction in paddling technique, and the canoe return transport; on‑site transfers to and from the operator are not included.
Are there family‑priced canoe options?
Yes: a three‑person family canoe (2 adults + 1 child up to 14 years) is offered and a four‑person family canoe (2 adults + 2 children up to 14 years), with set family rates.
Where do we exit and what facilities are nearby?
The exit is on the left bank in Sigmaringen, opposite the campsite and directly by the suspension bridge and beach‑volleyball field; after the tour you can get ice cream or visit nearby eateries such as the Restaurant Bootshaus.
