You must bring a valid official ID (national ID card, passport or driving licence). Paper copies or photos of the ID are not acceptable for the security check.
Small bags are permitted on the tour but there is no facility to store luggage at the Vienna International Centre for security reasons.
Because the security checkpoint can become busy, arrive at the VIC at least 15 minutes before the tour start time.

The standard tour for individual visitors takes about one hour.
When are the tours offered?
Standard tour times for Monday–Friday are 11:00, 12:30, 14:00 and 15:30, subject to availability; check the calendar for booking and future dates.
What languages are the tours available in?
English and German are offered several times per day; other languages are available subject to availability (for example, French on Mondays at 12:30, Chinese on Wednesdays at 12:30, Spanish on Thursdays at 12:30 and Italian on Fridays at 12:30).
What identification do I need to enter the VIC?
A valid official identification document is required: national ID card, passport or driving licence. Photocopies or photos of the ID are not acceptable.
Can I store luggage at the Vienna International Centre?
No — there is no possibility to store luggage at the VIC for security reasons; only small bags may be carried on the tour.
Are there tours on weekends or UN holidays?
No — the Visitors Service is closed on weekends and official UN holidays, and there are no tours over the year‑end period.
