The operator supplies flies, rods/reels and optional waders and boots; bring layered outerwear for variable weather and any personal items not covered by the lodge.
Guests must secure a valid Montana State fishing license or a Yellowstone National Park fishing permit as required for the trip; park entrance fees are included on Yellowstone NP walk-and-wade trips.

If river conditions make a trip unfishable, Sage Lodge will attempt to provide an alternative experience, but if cancellation is necessary there is no cancellation fee.
Will trips be canceled for bad weather?
No. The operator does not cancel trips for inclement weather, so guests should bring appropriate clothing and outerwear.
