What riding skills are required?
Riders must be able to mount/dismount (mounting blocks provided), hold the reins English style, walk a quiet horse, rise (post) to the trot independently, steer, slow and stop at walk and trot, and ride off the lead rein.

The recommended minimum age for riding out is 10 years; younger children may be accepted only by special arrangement.
Is there a weight limit?
Yes — the operator’s upper weight limit is 220 lbs (16 stone / 101 kg); for safety and horse welfare riders over this limit cannot be accepted.
Will I get photos of the ride?
Guides carry cameras and are happy to take photos from horseback if asked before going out; photos may also be posted to the operator’s Facebook galleries or sent by WhatsApp with your permission.
What happens if I don’t pass the assessment?
If you don’t demonstrate the necessary skills to control the horse safely, the ride will be adjusted to the beginner sand dune trail or you may remain onsite; the guide’s decision after assessment is final.
