The program emphasizes safety, the 11 steps to archery success, one‑on‑one coaching and a sequence of target rotations that give participants more than an hour of hands‑on shooting, with optional access to nearby Uplands trails before or after the session.

What is your cancellation policy?
Customers must provide a 24‑hour notice via email to request a rebooking or full refund/credit. If Westcave cancels due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, customers receive an email notice and a full refund. No‑shows are charged the full price.
Does this event include a visit to the waterfall and cave area?
No. This event does not visit the waterfall and cave (The Grotto); access to the canyon and cave is available only via a Guided Canyon Tour or other specialty hikes.
Is the archery session child‑friendly? Can my toddler attend?
Archery sessions have an age requirement; all participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. (See booking details for the exact minimum age.)
Do you allow pets?
No. Pets are not allowed on the Preserve, even if left in a vehicle; guests with pets will be asked to leave.
Can we swim at Westcave?
No. There is no swimming at Westcave and no access to the Pedernales River as part of this program.
Can I take a rideshare to Westcave?
Do not take a rideshare (e.g., Uber, Lyft) to Westcave; the preserve is outside typical service pickup ranges and you may become stranded.
Are there restrooms on site?
Yes. Two composting toilets and sinks for hand washing are available for guest use; cleaning and disinfecting procedures are in place.
