You arrive via pickup in Kiruna and drive about an hour to Moskojärvi, then continue by snowmobile the final few kilometers to camp. After a warming cup of coffee on the open fire the guide outlines the program, fits you with provided mushing jackets, pants and boots, and teaches you how to harness dogs, attach to the gangline and drive a sled. Each day begins with feeding the dogs and a substantial breakfast, followed by long runs through the forest, tundra and over frozen lakes; nights are for shared lodge rooms, simple meals and the quiet company of the dogs.

Pack insulated outerwear (ski jacket, ski pants), winter boots, warm underwear and sweaters, woolen socks, a warm cap (fur cap optional), finger gloves for handling dogs and thicker mittens for mushing, slippers or hut shoes and a headlamp or torch with spare batteries; operators request you bring any special dietary information in advance.
Mushing jackets, pants and boots are provided; full board (breakfast, simple lunch, dinner and soft drinks) and accommodation in 2–4 bedded shared lodge rooms are included.
