Hand‑held photography devices are permitted; leave backpacks, large bags/purses, tripods, extension poles and selfie‑sticks in your vehicle or at the Guide House—these items are not permitted on tours.
Open containers of food or beverage are not permitted; smoking and vaping are prohibited on site, including the parking lot.

Yes—photography using hand‑held devices is permitted while on the tour; tripods, extension poles and other cumbersome camera equipment are not allowed.
Can I skip the outdoor Landscape portion of the tour?
No—the Landscape/outdoor portion is an integral part of the tour and cannot be skipped.
Who is eligible for free admission and when is the tour offered?
This Design • Art • Nature Tour is free of charge for residents of Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Ulster and Westchester Counties and is offered on select weekends from mid‑May through mid‑November.
How long is the tour and where do we meet?
The tour lasts 1.5 hours; check‑in is at Manitoga, 584 NY‑9D, Garrison, NY at the Guide House in the public parking lot and the tour begins promptly at 10:00 a.m. near the Trail Kiosk.
Are there age or mobility restrictions?
Children must be at least 10 years old to attend; infants are not admitted. Guests must be able to negotiate uneven ground, ascend and descend inclines and multiple sets of steps (including a series of 40+ stone steps).
What happens if I don't show up for my reservation?
If you do not show up for your reservation without 24 hours’ notice, you will not be permitted to book this tour type again in the future.
