Customers must provide 24 hours' notice via email to request a rebooking or full refund/credit; Westcave will issue a full refund if it cancels due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances; no-shows are charged the full price.

Does this event include access to the waterfall and cave (The Grotto)?

No — this event does not visit the waterfall and cave area; access to the canyon and cave is available only via Guided Canyon Tours or other specialty hikes.

Are pets allowed?

No — pets are not allowed on the preserve under any circumstances, including being left in vehicles; guests with pets will be asked to leave.

Can I arrive by rideshare (Uber/Lyft)?

Do not take a rideshare to Westcave; the preserve is outside typical service ranges and you may become stranded.

Are there restrooms and picnic options?

Two composting toilets and hand‑washing sinks are available; picnic tables are near the visitor center, but no food or drinks (except water) are allowed on trails.

Can I swim at Westcave?

No — there is no swimming at Westcave and no access to the Pedernales River from the preserve.
