Tours begin and end at Arrowhead Campground. From there you board a covered wagon pulled by tractor for a 2.5-mile dirt-road ride, disembark for a half-mile walk, then climb down a ladder into the slot to explore the canyon before returning the same way; the whole outing is compact, deliberate, and centered on the geology and cultural context of the place.

Bring water and snacks for the roughly 2.5-hour outing; for campsites bring your own tent (or rent), sleeping bags, towels and extra water — this is dry camping with no hookups.
Camp sites accommodate one large or two small tents and up to six people (additional guests incur extra nightly fees); there is no trash pick-up — guests must pack out trash — and generators are permitted.
Please arrive at Arrowhead Campground at least 30 minutes before your scheduled tour time; tours operate on Arizona time and are not affected by Daylight Saving Time.

Nightly campsite rates are set for two guests; additional guests (up to six total) incur an extra $5 per person, per night. Children ages 7 and under are not charged additionally.
What should I bring for the tour and camp?

What is the operator’s policy if I am late?
