Afternoon thunderstorms are common in summer (typically noon–4:00pm); for safety the operator does not schedule pickups later than 4:00pm and they cannot refund for weather unless the Pikes Peak Highway closes.
How much water should I bring?
Bring as much water as you can comfortably carry and hydrate in the days before your hike; drink often during the hike.
Do you allow dogs on the shuttle?
Yes; dogs are allowed for an extra fee. Be aware this hike can be extreme for dogs—keep them leashed and on the floor, and a cleaning fee of up to $100 may be charged if the dog soils the vehicle.
Where will the shuttle drop me off?
The shuttle drops passengers at the Barr Trail trailhead, 13 Hydro Street in Manitou Springs; in many cases the operator can also drop at Memorial Park or another nearby spot in Manitou Springs when time allows.
