Outing Highlights
Short, Steep Hike Below the Rim
The hiking portion is approximately a 1‑mile round trip—generally on the Grandview Trail—taking you below the Rim for close‑up views of the canyon; despite the short distance the trail is rocky, uneven and includes large elevation changes.
Multiple Iconic Lookouts and Photo Stops
Guides stop at two to three viewpoints chosen from the park’s popular overlooks, giving repeated vantage points to photograph the canyon’s layered walls, gorges and sweeping vistas.
Let Someone Else Drive, Learn as You Look
Riders enjoy the ride in a guided Hummer while the guide recounts regional natural history and cultural context—so you can focus on spotting elk, listening for local stories, and framing the shot.
