Established in 1905 and originally located at Townsend Street and South Fredonia, the chapel was a small Free Methodist house of worship that later moved to Millard’s Crossing. It reflects the modest rural congregational life of its era—the church lacked a steeple until relocation and was used by its original congregation into the 1950s.

The chapel retains period appointments—a working antique pump organ, an electric organ and a piano that may be used but not moved—and roughly 17 pews seating about 75 people, with approximately 30 folding chairs available on request for additional seating.

Available for weddings and other special events, the chapel accommodates about 75–100 guests, is heated and cooled, permits decorating and allows candles when dripless varieties are used. Organ and piano use are allowed; if the piano needs tuning, that cost falls to the renter.

Stepping into the small white chapel is like entering a preserved moment: sunlight through ten tall windows, polished pews and an altar area framed by a sanctuary opening. The working pump organ and piano give ceremonies an authentic period sound, and the overall scale—seating for roughly 75 to 100—keeps events intimate and focused on the couple or occasion.

Full-day weekend rentals are offered Friday through Sunday (a full day is 9:00 a.m. to midnight, and earlier access can be requested); hourly options are available Monday through Thursday.
You may bring your own decorations; candles are permitted only if they are dripless. If you require the piano to be in tune, that tuning is at your expense. Folding chairs beyond the 17 pews may be available on request.
The chapel is heated and cooled and includes a working pump organ, electric organ, piano, altar table, brass candelabra, lecterns, bishops’ chairs and a chapel runner rug (approx. 32' x 4').
No food or drink is permitted inside the chapel. Candles are allowed only if dripless. The piano and other fixed furnishings are not to be moved.
