Who is allowed to drive the Jet Ski?
All drivers must be 21 years old or older; passengers of any age are permitted but drivers must meet the age requirement.
Do I need to take a boater exam or training?
Watch the provided training videos beforehand; renters born after January 1, 1982 must pass a 10-question quiz with 90% or better to obtain a 24-hour temporary boater license. Each tester gets two chances.
Are there any restrictions on where I can ride?
Yes — you must stay inside the Cleveland Crib (Lakewood to the west, Bratenahl to the east, and the pink water intake building to the north). No docking, beaching, anchoring, or tubing is allowed, and you must stay away from the break wall.
What is the cancellation and weather policy?
You can cancel up to 48 hours before the rental by email or phone. If the operator cancels due to weather or unforeseen circumstances you can rebook or receive a full refund; if weather interrupts your rental, your time will be prorated and you will be refunded for the interrupted portion. No-shows are charged the full price.
What happens if I return late?
Late returns incur overtime charges at two times your rental rate, prorated in 30-minute increments; if the NS-1 bridge delays your return, call the operator and you will not be charged overtime.
