The Tigris Tent stacks tent-style atmosphere with hotel-style amenities: a queen bed plus a twin-over-full bunk, electricity, a mini-fridge, Keurig, and a 32" LED TV. Linens, basic toiletries and daily complimentary bottled water and breakfast items are provided for guests.

Pack for variable weather and daytime heat—though the tent has A/C it can warm in direct sun; basic toiletries and towels are provided, and earplugs are available for light sleepers. Bring any personal items beyond the provided coffee, bottled water and breakfast items.
The tent includes a mini-fridge, microwave, Keurig with coffee choices, electric fan/heater, electrical outlets, a TV/DVD player and complimentary paper goods; firewood is sold on-site if allowed by local burn bans.
Shared restroom buildings are nearby and stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash and towels; the restroom water heaters are small and intended for shorter, camping-style showers.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is no later than 10:00 AM; guests who arrive early may tour the Discovery Area while they wait for tent availability.
How does the cancellation policy work?
Cancellations 14 or more days prior receive a full refund; cancellations 2–13 days prior incur a $50 fee with the remainder refunded; cancellations within 48 hours are charged one night with the remainder refunded; canceling at least 24 hours prior also allows opting for a full-value lodging gift certificate instead of a refund.
Are pets allowed in the Tigris Tent?
Non-service animals, including emotional-support animals, are not allowed in this tent. Service animals are treated per ADA and Arkansas law; pet-friendly alternatives are available elsewhere on the property.
What happens in bad weather or extreme conditions?
The refuge may close for extreme weather such as lightning, tornadoes, fires, blizzards, freezing rain, icy roads or other dangerous conditions; announcements are typically made the day of a closing and staff monitor weather forecasts closely.
What if my preferred dates are booked?
If the dates you want are unavailable, you may sign up for the refuge’s wait list to be notified of openings.
Do guests pay to tour the refuge during their stay?
All registered guests pay a one-time discounted entry fee that grants unlimited tours and Discovery Area access during their stay; Turpentine Creek members do not need to pay this fee.
