When you book a time slot you receive exclusive use of the field you reserve; bookings are limited in number and designed to let a small group of dogs and owners make the most of the space.

What the half‑hour feels like

Arrive, confirm you’re at Open Field 1 and open the gate to a secure, open grass space where your dog can be off‑lead for the booking period. The short, private slot is intended for focused activities—recall practise, socialising with a couple of friends’ dogs, or a supervised run—backed up by on‑site benches and shelter if you need a break.

The Muddy Paws fields are on the outskirts of Westhill; driving from Westhill toward Blackburn they are on the left just after the golf course and bus stop—use the map provided with your booking and the sign at the gate to find Open Field 1.

Yes—each field provides shelters, picnic benches, dog poo bins and a drinking water facility.

Will I see livestock nearby?

Occasionally livestock may be seen in the fields adjacent to the Muddy Paws fields, though the Muddy Paws areas themselves are fenced.
