Sauna Sessions Beside the Water
Saunas are sited immediately beside the park so groups can move quickly between heat and cold, using the proximity to the beach to time short, repeated cycles of warming and cooling.
An Exhilarating Cool-Down
When ice is broken and cleared at the beach, taking a dip in Lake Banook is the recommended way to cool off between sessions — brisk and immediate, then back into the heat within steps.
Central, Accessible Lakeside Setting
Lake Banook’s central location in Dartmouth makes it a convenient, accessible place for groups to unwind, relax, and rejuvenate with minimal travel from town.

What the Session Feels Like
A typical group session moves between the wood-heated sauna and the shore: heat, a short walk, a dip in Lake Banook, and a quick return to warm up again. Sessions are compact — designed to be restorative without taking the whole day — and guided by simple practicalities around hydration and timing.
