Located on the western bank of the Xiang River in Changsha, Hunan Province, Yuelu Mountain National Forest Park spans an area of approximately 2.1 square kilometers. The park is dominated by Yuelu Mountain, a well-wooded, forest-covered hill rising around 300 meters above sea level. The mountain and its surrounding forests are rich in subtropical evergreen flora, including camphor, pine, and various species of bamboo, supporting a diverse ecosystem habitat to many birds and small mammals. Historically, Yuelu Mountain is a site of great cultural significance, hosting the Yuelu Academy, one of China's four renowned ancient academies, dating back over a thousand years.
