Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests span over 1.5 million acres in northern Colorado, including parts of the Front Range and areas westward. The forests are marked by varied terrain, from rugged mountain peaks and alpine lakes to dense forests and expansive meadows. The Continental Divide bisects the forests, providing striking vistas and numerous recreational opportunities.

Established in the early 20th century, these forests have a rich history of conservation and outdoor recreation.
