Bonaire National Marine Park, established in 1979, protects the islands' pristine coral reef systems and the surrounding waters around Bonaire and Klein Bonaire. It extends from the high-water mark to a depth of 60 meters (200 feet) and is famous for its commitment to marine conservation. Home to approximately 340 fish species and an array of coral species, the park's marine biodiversity is staggering.
