Located in eastern Madagascar, Andasibe-Mantadia National Park covers an area known for its lush tropical rainforests, which provide a haven for a diverse range of wildlife. The park is home to the indri, the largest lemur species, known for its distinct calls echoing through the forest. The park is divided into two sections: Andasibe (also known as Analamazaotra) and Mantadia, each offering unique experiences. Andasibe is more accessible to visitors and provides various trails suitable for all levels of hikers. Mantadia, on the other hand, is less visited, offering a wilder hiking experience. In addition to its lemurs, the park hosts an abundance of bird species, reptiles, and a wide variety of endemic plant life. The park is not only a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts but also holds cultural significance for local communities.
