Beringia National Park is located in the far northeastern corner of Russia’s Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, encompassing large tracts of Arctic tundra, rugged coastline, river valleys, and mountainous terrain. The park preserves part of the historic Beringia land bridge that connected Asia and North America during the Ice Age, serving as a crucial wildlife migration corridor and human habitation site. Its remote landscape is defined by vast permafrost plains, lakes, and coastal cliffs facing the Chukchi Sea. The park hosts an array of Arctic fauna, including reindeer herds, arctic foxes, polar bears, walruses, and migratory bird species like spectacled eiders and brent geese.
