Djurdjura National Park is located in the Kabylie region of northern Algeria. Established in 1983, the park covers approximately 82,000 acres and is part of the Tell Atlas mountain range. It boasts a diverse terrain with lush forests, deep gorges, and dramatic limestone peaks, the highest being Lalla Khedidja at 2,308 meters. The park's biodiversity is impressive, supporting a variety of flora such as cedar and oak forests and fauna including Barbary macaques, wild boars, and a variety of bird species.
