Gran Sabana National Park, part of the larger Canaima National Park, covers an extensive area in southern Venezuela's Bolivar state. Known for its iconic table-top mountains, called tepuis, the park's diverse geography features savannas, rivers, and waterfalls, including the world's highest uninterrupted waterfall, Angel Falls, located in the northern part of Canaima. This protected area is celebrated for its rich tapestry of ecosystems that house a variety of flora and fauna, some of which are endemic. The park is also inhabited by indigenous Pemon communities, whose presence adds a significant cultural and historical dimension to the area.
