Mahale Mountains National Park

Mahale Mountains National Park, located in western Tanzania along the shores of Lake Tanganyika, sprawls over 1,613 square kilometers of rugged terrain. This park is home to one of the largest known populations of eastern chimpanzees, offering an unparalleled opportunity for primate observation. The Mahale Range, running across the park, includes the towering Mount Nkungwe, which stands at 2,462 meters.
