Morne Trois Pitons National Park is a rich ecological and geological area located in the mountainous interior of Dominica. The park covers 6,857 hectares and is renowned for its rugged terrain, which includes volcanoes, fumaroles, hot springs, and valleys of lush rainforest. Central to the park is the active volcano, Morne Trois Pitons, which translates to “Mountain of Three Peaks” in French, rising to 1,342 meters. The park's vibrant ecosystem is home to rare and endemic species of flora and fauna, providing numerous opportunities for wildlife viewing. The park is a hiker's paradise with trails leading to breathtaking sites such as Boiling Lake, the second-largest hot lake in the world, and Trafalgar Falls, where twin waterfalls cascade side by side into emerald pools.
