Located along the North Sea coast in the provinces of North Holland and South Holland, Nationaal Park Zuid-Kennemerduinen covers over 3,500 hectares of rolling sand dunes, woodlands, heathlands, and freshwater pools. This protected area showcases classic dune landscapes shaped by wind and sea, featuring extensive sand blows and sparse vegetation that supports specialized plant and animal species. The park’s diverse habitats include open dunes, dense forests, and grazed grasslands, which are managed to preserve native biodiversity.
