Located in the northwestern region of Honduras near the coastal town of Tela, Parque Nacional Jeannette Kawas encompasses a diverse array of ecosystems, including tropical rainforests, mangroves, and pristine beaches. Named in honor of environmental activist Jeannette Kawas, the park covers over 780 square kilometers and is home to a variety of flora and fauna, including several endangered species.
