The park spans over 135,000 hectares and features a remarkable range of biodiversity, including many endemic species such as the Coquerel's sifaka and the Madagascan fish eagle. Dominated by dense dry forest interspersed with open patches and several lakes like Lake Ravelobe, the terrain supports rare flora and fauna not found elsewhere.
