This blend of architectural grandeur and natural beauty offers visitors a diverse outdoor and cultural experience. The estate’s grounds include well-maintained gardens designed by Capability Brown, featuring avenues, water features, and herbaceous borders, alongside wide open parkland used historically for hunting and farming. Ecologically, the estate supports native British flora and fauna, with habitats for deer, foxes, and numerous bird species. Several walking paths weave through the estate, guiding visitors around woodlands, along the River Cam, and past ornamental lakes. Visitors can explore formal gardens, enjoy seasonal events, or picnic in expansive green spaces. Historical landmarks on site include the mansion itself, the orangery, stables, and kitchen garden.
