Wilderness Landscape & Natural Heritage

Beaver Lake Park is a regional park located on the eastern shore of Beaver Lake in Benton County, Arkansas. The park provides a natural gateway to the lake, which spans over 28,000 acres and is a popular destination for water-based recreation. The park's terrain is a combination of gently rolling hills, wooded uplands, and shoreline that supports a variety of plant and animal life typical of the Ozark Highlands. Ecologically, the area supports oak-hickory forests and is home to wildlife such as white-tailed deer, beavers, numerous bird species, and freshwater fish populations. The park offers visitors several outdoor activities, including picnicking, birdwatching, hiking on its network of trails, fishing from boat ramps and shoreline, and swimming in designated areas.
