Cañón do Sil is a spectacular gorge carved by the Sil River through granite and slate formations in the heart of the Ribeira Sacra region of Galicia, northwestern Spain. Stretching approximately 36 kilometers in length, this canyon features steep, towering cliffs reaching heights of up to 500 meters, offering breathtaking panoramic views. The deep valley is cloaked with terraced vineyards, ancient chestnut and oak forests, and rich Mediterranean flora that support an exceptional diversity of wildlife including rare bird species like griffon vultures, Egyptian vultures, and Eurasian eagle-owls.
