Charleston Falls Preserve, located in Miami County, Ohio, spans over 216 acres and is one of the region's most popular natural attractions. It is named after Charleston Falls, a 37-foot waterfall that cascades down a rock face before flowing into the Great Miami River. The preserve plays host to a variety of landscapes, including prairies, forests, and wetlands, creating rich habitats for wildlife and native plants. The preserve's trails offer around three miles of easy to moderate paths, inviting hikers to experience these diverse environments and the seasonal beauty they possess. Managed by the Miami County Park District since 1977, Charleston Falls Preserve is cherished for its educational opportunities, scenic views, and the tranquility it offers to nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
