Dachstein Nature Park spans a stunning alpine region divided between the Austrian states of Styria and Upper Austria. Dominated by the Dachstein massif, a rugged limestone mountain range, the park encompasses glaciers, karst caves, alpine meadows, and dense forests. Elevations range from approximately 600 meters to Dachstein’s summit at 2,995 meters (Hoher Dachstein), offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Northern Limestone Alps. Ecologically, the park supports diverse flora and fauna, including alpine wildflowers, marmots, chamois, and golden eagles.
