Located in the eastern part of Rize Province in northeastern Turkey, Fırtına Valley Protected Area encompasses a stretch of the Fırtına River and its surrounding steep mountain terrain. The landscape features dense temperate rainforests, steep cliffs, and fast-flowing streams that originate in the Pontic Mountains.
