Wilderness Landscape & Natural Heritage

Indian Springs Metropark, part of the Huron-Clinton Metroparks system, encompasses over 2,200 acres of protected natural area in Oakland County, Michigan. The park features a variety of landscapes including wetlands, woodlands, prairie, and glacial kettle lakes, preserving important habitats for many native species. Founded in 1947, Indian Springs was the first park created by the Huron-Clinton Metroparks system and is recognized for its pioneering role in environmental education and research.
