Located in the Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka, India, Kudremukh National Park is a biodiversity hotspot spread across 600 square kilometers within the Western Ghats. This national park features rugged terrains, rolling meadows, and the striking peak of Kudremukh, which resembles a horse's face, offering breathtaking vistas of the surrounding valleys. The park is a crucial habitat for endangered species like the lion-tailed macaque, tigers, and leopards, and is rich in flora with dense forests and a variety of endemic plant species. Historically, the area has been of ecological significance due to its unique shola-grassland ecosystem.
