Established in 1988, Kurpie Landscape Park (Park Krajobrazowy Puszczy Kurpiowskiej) covers a significant portion of the historic Kurpie region, spanning parts of the Mazowieckie and Podlaskie voivodeships. The park preserves large tracts of lowland forests dominated by pine, spruce, oak, and birch, interspersed with meadows, peat bogs, and marshes.
