Wilderness Landscape & Natural Heritage

Orava Protected Landscape Area (Oravská prírodná krajinná oblasť) covers a large portion of the Orava region in northern Slovakia, spanning the Žilina administrative region. Characterized by mixed forests, mountainous terrain, meadows, and river valleys, this protected landscape area showcases a variety of habitats that support diverse flora and fauna, including several endemic and rare species.
