Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park, situated near Parksville on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, spans 347 hectares, including 2 kilometers of sandy shoreline at low tide. This park offers a diverse ecological habitat, including Douglas fir and Garry oak ecosystems. Established in 1967, the park is named after the Irish settler William Rath, who arrived here in 1886. Visitors can enjoy ample recreational opportunities such as hiking, bird watching, and beachcombing. Its extensive shoreline is particularly popular during low tide when the beach can extend almost a kilometer into the Strait of Georgia.
