Retezat National Park, located in the Southern Carpathians of Romania, is renowned for its dramatic mountain landscapes, richly forested areas, and an impressive range of biodiversity. Historically, the park has been a protected area since 1935, reflecting early efforts to conserve its unique ecosystems.
