It is managed by the Grand River Conservation Authority and encompasses rugged terrain shaped by glacial activity, featuring steep limestone cliffs, caves, karst formations, and the meandering Eramosa River. The area’s topography includes significant underground features such as caves and sinkholes, making it one of the few conservation areas in southern Ontario with extensive caving possibilities. Rich ecological zones include mature hardwood forests, wetlands, and the river corridor which supports diverse wildlife including various bird species, amphibians, and small mammals.
