Wilderness Landscape & Natural Heritage
Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park is a 75-acre oceanfront park located in Long Branch, New Jersey, along the Atlantic coastline. The park is named for seven U.S. presidents who vacationed in the area: Ulysses S. Grant, Rutherford B. Hayes, James A. Garfield, Chester A. Arthur, Benjamin Harrison, William McKinley, and Woodrow Wilson. The park features approximately one mile of sandy beach backed by dunes and natural vegetation. It protects fragile coastal ecosystems, including dune grasses and migratory bird habitats. Visitors can enjoy swimming, sunbathing, fishing along the jetty, and birdwatching. The park also boasts paved multi-use trails for walking, biking, and running that follow the beachfront. Facilities include picnic areas with grills, a visitors center, restrooms, and designated parking. Seasonal lifeguards are on duty during the summer months, enhancing safety. The fishing jetty on the northern end provides access to various fish species common to coastal waters. The park is family-friendly with playgrounds and open spaces perfect for relaxation. Its proximity to the city of Long Branch allows for convenient access while preserving a relatively natural beach environment. The park has become a popular destination for both locals and tourists seeking outdoor coastal experiences on the New Jersey shore.
