Wilderness Landscape & Natural Heritage
Situated at the southern tip of Gozo, Malta, the Ta' Ċenċ Cliffs are prominent limestone formations that rise approximately 130 meters above sea level. These cliffs provide breathtaking panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding Maltese archipelago. The area is an important ecological site, hosting a variety of seabirds, including the yelkouan shearwater and the European storm petrel. This region also boasts a significant historical heritage, with megalithic temples and ancient cart ruts that hint at its long-standing human habitation. Visitors will find plenty of opportunities for nature walks, photography, and bird watching, with the cliffs' wild beauty attracting both locals and tourists seeking a peaceful retreat. The cliffs are especially popular at sunset when the setting sun casts a golden hue over the landscape.
