Ulcinj Salina is located in the southern part of Montenegro along the Adriatic coast, covering an area of approximately 1,500 hectares. This unique salt production site has been transformed into a haven for biodiversity, hosting over 250 bird species, including the flamingo and the Dalmatian pelican. Historically used for salt extraction since the early 20th century, the salina has evolved into one of the most significant birdwatching areas in the region. Visitors are drawn to its lagoons, dikes, and salt pans that also offer remarkable photographic opportunities. Its proximity to the town of Ulcinj makes it a convenient nature getaway for tourists and locals alike, without being a heavily commercialized tourist spot.
