Located on the southeastern flank of Oahu, Hawaii, Kuli‘ou‘ou Natural Area Reserve encompasses steep ridges, deep valleys, and native mesic and wet forests. The reserve protects a variety of native Hawaiian plants and wildlife that thrive in its relatively undisturbed environment. The topography features dramatic cliffs dropping toward the Pacific Ocean, with streams carving through the valley floor.
